Collections

What are they?

They are a pre-defined selection of phishing simulations. These are used when sending simulations randomly instead of a single choice, manually. There are both the system default collections and the ability to create your own.

Where to find them

  1. Navigate to Content
  2. Click the dropdown
  3. Click Simulation
  4. Click Collections

Creating a collection

  1. Click
  2. Enter a name for the collection
  1. Choose whether to toggle on family sharing (shared with child tenancies)
  2. Drag and drop content from left to right to build up your collection
  1. Click  to save

How to use them

Collections are used in both On Demand and the Journey Builder when selecting RANDOM as the send method.

Journey builder

  1. Select send date
  2. Click Simulation
  3. Click Random
  4. Choose a collection from the dropdown list

On Demand

  1. Click Simulation
  2. Click RANDOM
  3. Choose a collection from the tabled list

Simulation distribution

The random selection algorithm takes into account the simulation history of each user as well as attempting a normal distribution of simulations in the collection across all users that are part of the collection send.

User History Consideration

●     Lookback period: Last 6 months of user history (planned to increase to 12 months)

●     Priority: User history takes precedence over all other distribution logic, unless the user has received all simulations from the collection in the last 6 months, they will be sent a different simulation.

Distribution Logic

●     Goal: Achieve normal distribution of sims across users

●     Example: 10 users + 10 sims in collection = each user is sent a different simulation

●     Limitation: if sending to multiple users from the users table (e.g. 10 users), on-demand queues this as 10 individual sends. As such for these kinds of sends we cannot do normal distribution coordination.
