What happens when my Email Security license is suspended or deleted?

The following article describes the behaviour if your Email Security license is suspended or deleted.

License Suspended

Inbound Mail flow will continue for a 14 day grace period however any customer defined or standard rules will be disabled, meaning spam and potentially malicious email will be delivered to your mail server. The (Locked) rules will remain active along with the Deliver rule, to ensure mail flows correctly. After 7 days from the license suspension date , outbound mail flow will be blocked. After 14 days, inbound mail flow will be blocked. You should ensure your MX or Connector Rules are updated.

You will still incur usage whilst the license is suspended if your domains are still pointing to the Email Security service MX records or Connector Rules. This is to prevent any business interruption.

License Deleted

Mail flow will be interrupted. You should ensure that your domain MX records are updated to point to a different SMTP service for continued mail flow.
